Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008 (PHOENIX) - After more than a quarter century in the East Valley, family-owned and operated Ganem Jewelers has expanded to serve the Scottsdale and northeast Phoenix communities. In celebration of the company’s new location at the Shops at Chauncey Ranch, Ganem Jewelers hosted a formal ribbon cutting ceremony earlier today to officially dedicate its latest retail destination.

The community event, attended by customers, employees and community members, featured remarks from the company’s Co-President Jason Ganem, City of Phoenix Vice Mayor Peggy Neely, and the Honorable Andy Kunasek, chairman, Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. Additionally, Jim Dale from Scottsdale Healthcare Foundation, and two-year-old twins Brooke and Callie Redman, both graduates of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Scottsdale Healthcare-Shea Hospital, joined the guest speakers for the ribbon cutting.

A longtime supporter of children’s causes throughout the Valley, Ganem Jewelers has selected Scottsdale Healthcare-Shea’s Pediatrics program as beneficiary of its grand opening activities. From Oct. 7 to 11, Ganem Jewelers is donating five percent of all sales at the Chauncey Ranch location to the Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care departments at the hospital.
